Health Matters
As an integrative therapist I am able to work with you individually in
a unique way that respects your whole experience of life, mind, body and
spirit. I work holistically, with thoughts and feelings and how these
affect your body, your health and your overall well being.
Good health exists when the body’s energy is in balance. I help
you to get in touch with your inner self, your natural wisdom, to understand
why you think, feel, and act as you do. Releasing negative thought patterns
enables positive energies to flow through the body, thereby creating self
healing.
Critical Inner Voice
Do you have a critical inner voice that’s always criticising whatever
you do?
Do you have unrealistic expectations of yourself, feel that you are only
acceptable if you are perfect, maybe you believe you are not good enough,
that however hard you try you can’t get it right
In a safe nurturing environment you are able to look back in safety, with
the life skills and intuition that you gained as an adult, at the events
from the past. By examining the events that are preventing you from being
positive and happy about yourself you are able to release negative thought
patterns, start accepting yourself and live in the here and now.
Childhood Abuse
Are you an adult survivor of childhood sexual/physical/emotional abuse?
Maybe you were sexually abused as a child, or maybe you suffered physical
abuse or unintentional emotional abuse. Only you know how childhood abuse
has affected you, maybe there’s shame, guilt, self-blame. Your deepest
wounds are locked in your subconscious and the pain from these wounds
can come to revisit you without warning. Why am I feeling this way, I
didn't mean to do that, I don't know what made me say that." As a
unique individual your perception of your experiences affects how you
think and feel about yourself. Maybe these feelings are holding you back
from being comfortable with yourself and accepting who you are.
When you are ready to move forward I’ll walk with you on your pathway
as your non-intrusive guide, helper and support working with you in safety,
compassion and understanding to enable you to make the changes of your
choice.
Out of Control
Do you struggle to keep a lid on your emotions?
Do you have emotions bubbling under the surface that you are continually
fighting to keep down? As a Nation we are known for our ‘Stiff Upper
Lip” attitude. Were you taught by example, or maybe with comments
such as ‘boys don’t cry’, or ‘be a brave girl’
that it was unacceptable to show emotions.
Are you fighting unresolved grief from a bereavement? Have comments such
as ‘I do admire you, you are being so brave supporting the family’
and the feeling that you mustn’t let others down stopped you from
releasing your grief?
Do you explode unexpectedly, uncontrollably at what seems on the surface
to be something quite minor? Continually pushing down emotions can leave
you feeling tired, drained and put a strain your health.
Your past experiences can be viewed (not experienced) in a safe and protected
way that will enable you to understand events of the past. With patience
and kindness emotions can be released and balance restored enabling you
to move on along your pathway feeling more in control of yourself.

You can rest and take stock in a calm, safe, supported environment to
enable you face your fears and to go within, to touch the stillness and
pure love that lie at the core of your being. Becoming quiet and still
inside in a caring atmosphere is a first step to seeing things truly.
Panic Attacks
Do you suffer from anxiety/panic attacks?
Panic attacks can be described as a period of intense fear or discomfort
in which feelings such as: palpitations, pounding heart, sweating, trembling,
or shaking, sensations of shortness of breath, etc develop and peak within
ten minutes
In a safe calm environment working in empathy we look at the origin of
your panic attack, your triggers, how you felt, frequency, etc We discuss
how/why panic attacks occur and relaxation techniques to inhibit the production
of stress hormones in the body.
Phobias/Fears
Do you have a phobia/fear that is interfering with your health or stopping
you from enjoying life to the full?
A phobia can be defined as a marked and persistent fear that is excessive
or unreasonable caused by the presence or anticipation of a specific object
or situation.
Many people have some form of phobia, but only come for help when the
phobia interferes with their health, ie fear of injections for a diabetic
suffer or the phobia stops them from enjoying life to the full, eg fear
of dogs,.
Phobias can emanate from various circumstances: maybe as a child you picked
up on your parent’s fears and adopted them as your own, or maybe
it was a terrifying event(s) that occurred in your childhood. Another
alternative is that your phobia has followed you through from a Past Life,
but whatever the circumstances of the origin of your phobia we will work
together in compassion, empathy and understanding to examine events from
your past and to release the fear.
Releasing your limiting fears will enable you to put the past behind you
as you continue on your healing journey to the destination of your choice.
Unexplained physical symptoms
Do you suffer from physical symptoms that have been checked out by the
medical profession who have been unable to find the cause?
I have found that with many clients the emotional pain from a traumatic
event has lodged itself within their physical body. Your sub-conscious
mind will guide you to the origin of the trauma which maybe from this
life or a Past Life.
Releasing the traumas from the body gives your physical body the opportunity
to gradually repair itself, enabling you to continue on your pathway feeling
lighter, happier and healthier.
Relaxation/Stress Reduction
Are you a workaholic, or so busy looking after others that you forget
about your own needs?
A short daily break relaxing reduces stress levels and gives you the opportunity
to connect to your inner self. On a subconscious level you are saying
– I’m worth spending time for me. I can show you how to experience
a very deep state of relaxation. which you can practice when you choose.
Weight Control
Do you feel that your body is overweight?
Gaining weight can adversely affect your health and have a knock-on effect
on how you feel about yourself. In weight control sessions we look at
when you first started putting on weight and the reasons for eating, maybe
for comfort, bored, lonely, or tired,
By accessing your natural wisdom you become aware of the links between
your emotions and your eating patterns and the most effective ways of
establishing a healthy relationship with your body.
Smoking Cessation
Are you ready to stop poisoning your body with toxins which can be detrimental
to your health?
Smoking Cessation is individually tailored and is usually carried out
in two sessions of approximately 90 and 60 minutes duration. In each session
I work with you using a variety of techniques to bring about the positive
change you desire.
